This article will explain step by step instructions on how to create a Trip.

Quick Look:
- From "Daily Work" > Select "Dispatching"
- Click "New Trip" button
- At "Tablet Status" > Select "Inquiry" or "Active"
- Enter Trip parameters and information
- Click "Save Trip" button
- To add a BOL to Trip: Keep Trip in Trip Entry window
- Select "BOLs" tab > Select "BOL" > Click "Add to Trip" button
- Click "Save Trip" button
Create a Trip
1. Beginning at Daily Work, select Dispatching.
2. First, click on the New Trip button.
a. The Trip is now in the Trip Entry window:
3. Once here you want to ensure this Trip Tablet Status is in the status you need it to be in:
If this is a Trip you want your Driver dispatched to now, the setting should be set to Active, if not change the Tablet Status to Inquiry.
4. Now you can go ahead and set all of your Trips parameters and Information.
a. Trip# (This automatically populates)
b. Driver (This is the Driver you will assign to the Trip)
c. Trip Start Date (The date you want the Trip to start)
d. Trip End Date (The date you want the Trip to end)
e. Equipment 1 (The 1st Equipment assigned to Driver, if you have already assigned default Equipment for your driver in their user profile, this will automatically populate)
f. Equipment 2 (The 2nd Equipment assigned to your Driver)
g. Carrier (The Carrier assigned; this will automatically populate if already assigned to Drivers user profile)
h. Miles (The estimated miles this Trip will incur)
i. Autosettle Type (Default payment type for Driver)
j. Deadhead Miles (Miles calculated once truck is fully empty)
k. Deadhead Stop (The next stop location once your truck is empty)
l. Trip Notes (Notes you want to add to this specific Trip)
m. Trip Revenue (The amount of money on the Trip)
n. Trip Cost (The amount of money the Trip will cost)
o. Trip Profit (Your Trip profit - Revenue minus the Cost)
5. Finalize by clicking on the Save Trip button.
a. Your Trip has now been created and saved into the system.
6. When you are ready to add a BOL/BOLs to this Trip, ensure the Trip is in the Trip Entry window. Navigate to the BOLs tab and locate the BOL you want to add.
7. Hover over the BOL to access feature buttons, click on the Add to Trip button.
8. Your BOL is now dispatched onto the Trip (BUT NOT SAVED). Click the Save Trip button once more to update and save the change.
a. If you are adding more than one BOL, repeat steps 6-8 to add more BOLs.
